성인 초기의 심리적 부모화와 외로움의 관계에서 거부민감성과 정서표현 양가성의 순차적 매개효과

초록

This study aimed to examine the roles of rejection sensitivity and ambivalence over emotional expressiveness as psychological mechanisms that explain the impact of psychological parentification on loneliness among early adults. A survey was conducted with 296 men and women aged between 19 and 34 from across South Korea. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS version 27.0 and the PROCESS Macro (v4.1), and descriptive statistics, sequential mediation analysis were performed. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, rejection sensitivity was found to partially mediate the relationship between psychological parentification and loneliness. Second, ambivalence over emotional expressiveness also showed a significant partial mediating effect in this relationship. Third, the results of the sequential mediation analysis indicated that rejection sensitivity and ambivalence over emotional expressiveness sequentially mediated the effect of psychological parentification on loneliness. These results suggest that to better understand the fundamental mechanisms of loneliness in people who have assumed parental roles, it is necessary to integrate interpersonal dynamics, such as sensitivity to rejection or ambivalence regarding emotional expression, with existing internal traits. Finally, the limitations of the study were presented, and suggestions for future research were proposed.
