부모의 사회적양육행동이 1세 영아의 발달특성에 미치는 영향: 사회적 지원의 매개효과를 중심으로

The purpose of this study was to analyze the structural relationships among parents’ social parenting behaviors, social support, and the developmental characteristics of one-year-old infants, and to examine the mediating effect of social support in the relationship between social parenting behaviors and infant’ developmental characteristics. This study used data from the first wave of the Korean Early Childhood Education and Care Panel Study. AMOS 27.0 program was used to analyze the structural relationship among variables, and indirect mediating effects were verified using the bootstrapping method. The results showed that, first, parent’ social parenting behaviors had positive effects on both infant’ developmental characteristics and social support, and that social support, in turn, had a positive effect on infant’ developmental characteristics. Second, parent’ social support had a mediating effect on the relationship between parent’ social parenting behaviors and infant’ developmental characteristics. The results of this study suggest that supporting healthy infant growth and development requires not only positive parenting behaviors but also the establishment of social support systems that encourage active involvement from those surrounding parents in child-rearing.
