초록

Recent advancements in Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) materials have significantly impacted the construction industry. This paper presents experimental results assessing the fatigue effects of cyclic wind loads on UHPC panels. The probability-based fatigue wind load was calculated using the Rayleigh distribution function. The results demonstrated the exceptional fatigue resistance of UHPC panels, attributed to their high strength and enhanced structural integrity from the fiber bridging effect. The panels endured 28,373 high cycles and 2188 low cycles at 45% and 50% of the expected load, respectively, without any signs of cracking or damage. Furthermore, the maximum load capacity of UHPC panels exceeded 100% of the expected design performance with a lifetime of 50 years under cyclic wind loading. Additionally, the test results highlighted the effectiveness of the embedded anchors in securing the panels, showing excellent anchoring performance without damage at anchor locations. In conjunction with the outstanding durability and strength of the UHPC material, lightweight panels with a thickness of only 15 mm were shown to be highly suitable for exterior cladding of buildings, particularly in harsh weather conditions, highly corrosive environments, and windy areas. © 2024
