Standard Unit Calculation Method for Selective Demolition to Predict Construction Waste in Large-Scale Land Development Project

초록

This study aims to establish standard units for selective demolition to promote the effective treatment and recycling of construction waste in South Korea. According to the “Construction Waste Recycling Promotion Act,” construction waste separation and cost calculation are mandatory; however, practical implementation measures are lacking on-site. Therefore, this study conducts preliminary investigations on buildings subject to selective demolition and measures the time required to dismantle interior materials to calculate standard units. The research methodology involved classifying buildings by use according to the Building Act, conducting field surveys to create floor plans and measure interior material dimensions, and recording dismantling work times to establish standard units for selective demolition. As a result, the study proposes standard units to improve the efficiency of selective demolition work for various building types, including residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This study will provide practical standards for calculating selective demolition costs when ordering large-scale construction projects, contributing to promoting construction waste recycling.
