한국 소아청소년 암생존자의 학교복귀에 대한 통합적 문헌고찰

초록

This comprehensive review examined the difficulties and needs of Korean childhood and adolescent cancer survivors returning to school. Guided by Whittemore and Knafl's (2005) methodology, eight databases were searched using keywords like 'childhood and adolescent', 'cancer', 'school', and 'Korea'. Nine studies conducted from 2005 to 2023 were reviewed, including four quantitative, two qualitative, and one mixed-methods study. Cancer survivors had higher grade repetition and school drop out rates than their healthy peers. In addition, they encountered more problems related to relationships with peers and teachers, academic performance, and emotional issues that affected school adaptation. Although some reports have recommended that social, emotional, and academic supporting services be made available for those returning to school, studies on how these services affect return to school are lacking. Research is needed to determine survivor status on return to school by disease, treatment process and duration, and timing of return to school. We recommend programs be devised that enhance reintegration and a range of services and supports be provided to childhood and adolescent cancer survivors to assist in their successful re-entry and adaptation to school.
