한국형 성소수자 상담 모델 개발을 위한 과제 탐색

초록

This study was conducted to identify the key areas of discussion necessary for developing a Korean model of counseling for sexual minorities. To achieve this objective, focus group interviews were conducted with eight experts in sexual minority counseling, and the collected data were analyzed using qualitative content analysis (QCA). The findings revealed that the essential categories of discussion for developing a Korean sexual minority counseling model include: counseling preparation and environment (safe counseling environment, counseling outreach, psychological assessment), counseling content (coming out, sexual minority developmental models, identity conflicts, crisis counseling for sexual minorities, advocacy counseling), and counselor training and support (education on sexual minority counseling, self-reflection training for counselors, counselor support systems). This study specifically delineates the questions that require further exploration and recommends that future researchers, counselors, and clients collaborate to address these inquiries.
