To this end, a survey was conducted for approximately two months from March 2025 to May 2025 targeting university students attending universities in Busan and Gyeongnam, and statistical analysis was conducted using the SPSS 21.0 program on the data of 281 people with no missing data. The results of this study were as follows. First, it was found that the grit perceived by college students had a direct positive effect on their adaptation to college life. Second, the grit perceived by college students was found to have a significant positive effect on career adaptability. Third, career adaptability was found to have a direct and positive effect on adaptation to college life. Fourth, we confirmed that career adaptability partially mediates the relationship between grit perceived by college students and college life adaptation. These research results suggest that grit and career adaptability function complementarily in strengthening college life adaptation. Therefore, in order to promote college students' adaptation to college life, the need for an integrated support strategy that goes beyond simply emphasizing consistent effort and passion, and considers both self-understanding of career paths and the ability to flexibly cope with environmental changes was emphasized.
