The Mediating Effects of Sense of Calling on theRelationship Between Early Childhood Teachers’Flourishing and Play Sensitivity DOI http://dx.doi.org/10.62783/SHSS.8.3.27 Sujin Jeong* Abstract: The purpose of this study was to verify the mediating effect of a sense of calling on the relationship between early childhood teachers’ flourishing and play sensitivity. This survey research was conducted on early childhood teachers, and data was collected from Mar. 24 to Apr. 11, 2025, and A total of 272 responses were analyzed using the SPSS 27.0 program and the Process Macro Model 4. Early childhood teachers’ flourishing was positively correlated with both their sense of calling and play sensitivity, and sense of calling was also positively correlated with play sensitivity. Early childhood teachers’ sense of calling exerted a significant partial mediating effect on the relationship between flourishing and play sensitivity. Teachers’ flourishing influenced their play sensitivity, with sense of calling serving as a significant mediator. To enhance play sensitivity, it is essential to develop diverse teacher education programs that foster both flourishing and sense of calling.
