Construction confirmation is an essential task in which a construction supervisor attends the construction process and checks the quality. It directly affects the construction period, construction cost payment, and quality. In this study, the accuracy level of drone surveying was analyzed with the topic of construction confirmation to verify the applicability of drone surveying for construction work. We focused on road pavement construction and pipeline construction for construction confirmation works and analyzed the guidelines of LH Korea Land and Housing Corporation. New town construction sites, where a large-scale housing complex development is in progress, were selected as study sites and drone surveying was performed. The accuracy analysis was conducted and it was confirmed that the root mean square error and the maximum error satisfy the accuracy regulations for all study sites. However, in terms of construction confirmation, we confirmed the possibility and limitations of the application of drone surveying. There was one site where the vertical position error of the digital surface model satisfied the ground elevation construction confirmation error of 30 mm. However, the root mean square error or maximum error exceeded the construction confirmation error standard in other study sites. In the case of pipeline construction, it was challenging to apply drone construction confirmation because it has a large error compared to 12mm, which is the construction confirmation error regulation of the planned height of the pipeline. However, in terms of slope, the results were similar to the GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) surveying results. © 2022 AEPress, s.r.o.. All rights reserved.
