초록
In high-precision manufacturing fields such as automotive and defense, thermal effects that occur during continuous machining processes can lead to dimensional inaccuracies and quality degradation. This study quantitatively investigated the thermal behavior and its effect on machining precision during the continuous turning of 121 parts. The tool and workpiece temperatures were monitored using a thermal imaging camera, and the ambient, cutting fluid, and spindle motor temperatures were recorded. The outer and inner diameters were measured after each part was machined, and manual offset corrections were applied to the CNC system. The results revealed strong correlations between the temperature rise and dimensional deviations, with the most significant relationship being that between the spindle motor temperature and diameter compensation. This study highlights the importance of thermal monitoring and offset compensation for achieving stable precision in high-volume turning operations.
