초록
This study aims to compare and analyze the aerospace industry competitiveness of Korea, China, and Japan using Porter's diamond model and to explore the challenges and strategic response measures of the Korean aerospace industry. As Asia has recently emerged as a key region in the global aerospace market, the three major countries of Korea, China, and Japan have been enhancing their competitiveness in the industry through different industrial structures and policy approaches. Therefore, the comparative analysis of these countries is significant in providing strategic implications for strengthening Korea's competitiveness. The analysis results show that Korea faces structural limitations such as technological development, infrastructure expansion, lack of policy consistency, and restrictions on private sector participation, which are obstacles to securing competitiveness in the global market. On the other hand, China is pursuing a state-led strategy, and private companies' growth and commercialization trends are also increasing, while Japan is securing a competitive edge by focusing on rocket and satellite manufacturing with advanced private sector-centered technologies. Accordingly, this study suggests the following strategic goals for strengthening Korea's competitiveness: ▲securing independent technological capabilities, ▲expanding international cooperation, ▲activating the private ecosystem, and ▲establishing a sustainable industrial structure. This study is expected to provide practical implications for the Korean aerospace industry's policy-making and global advancement strategies.
