복합 만성질환 노인의 통합 심혈관위험인자 조절관련 요인 분석

This study aimed to examine the status of integrated cardiovascular risk factor control and to identify associated factors among older adults with multimorbidity. Methods: This cross-sectional study used data from the 2023–2024 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey. A total of 1,114 adults aged ≥65 years with two or more chronic conditions (hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia) who were receiving pharmacological treatment were included. Integrated cardiovascular risk factor control was defined as achieving all three targets: systolic blood pressure ﹤140 mmHg, LDL cholesterol ﹤100 mg/dL, and HbA1c ﹤7.0%. Data were analyzed using complex sample descriptive statistics, chi-square tests, and logistic regression analysis. Results: The rate of integrated cardiovascular risk factor control was 51.9%. Significant differences were observed according to age, disease combination, and health literacy in the univariate analysis. In multivariable logistic regression, disease combination and health literacy were identified as significant factors associated with integrated control. Participants with both hypertension and dyslipidemia were more likely to achieve control, and those with adequate health literacy also showed higher odds of achieving control. Conclusions: Integrated cardiovascular risk factor control in older adults with multimorbidity is influenced by disease combinations and health literacy. Health literacy, in particular, plays a critical role in risk factor management. Therefore, tailored integrated care strategies for older adults with multimorbidity, along with education and interventions to improve health literacy, are needed.
