초록
Thermoelectric power generation generates electricity from the temperature difference between the junctions ofthe p- and n-type semiconductors. They are based on solid-state thermoelectric materials and offer theadvantages of a long lifespan and being noiseless and highly reliable. This study aims to design a coolingsystem attached to the low-temperature area of a skutterudite thermoelectric module. Three arrays werecreated based on the positions of the coolant inlet and outlet and the shape of the flow path. Thetemperature uniformity, average temperature of the cooling system surface, and pressure drop between thecoolant inlet outlets were selected as the performance indicators of the cooling system. Array 1, whichexhibited the best performance in terms of average temperature of the cooling system surface and temperatureuniformity, was selected as the cooling system array set. We designed an array set composed of four arraysarranged in four types to examine the temperature difference between the cold and hot parts of thethermoelectric module and the temperature uniformity of the cooling part. Consequently, type 4 wasdetermined as the most suitable configuration for the cooling array set system.
