감정의 정치철학 논의 틀 모색 - 스피노자와 누스바움을 넘어서 -

초록

The purpose of this paper is to explore a fundamental framework for systematically discussing the political philosophy of emotion. To this end, the following discussion is conducted: First, in the preliminary considerations, I explain the necessity of a political philosophical discussion centered on emotion, the reasons for exploring the framework through the theories of Spinoza and Nussbaum, and briefly outline the framework itself. Subsequently, I discuss the political theories of emotion by Spinoza and Nussbaum, respectively, and reconstruct them to fit the framework sought by this paper. Here, it is explained that Spinoza's view of emotion can serve as the driving force for political emergence while Nussbaum's view of emotion can function as the normative guide for political direction. Then, the framework is completed by adding a third role for emotion on top of the two philosophers' arguments: its role as the constitutive ground of political structure. Finally, the concluding remarks explain the theoretical significance of the discussion framework proposed in this paper.
