초록

In this study, we developed a digital twin for a real-to-virtual (R2V) drone using a Unity-based virtual environment to enable real-time position and attitude monitoring. A three-dimensional (3D) virtual space was constructed using map data, with geometric distortions in terrain and building models corrected to improve alignment with the actual operating area. Position and attitude data were collected from the drone and transmitted to a ground personal computer (PC); the communication protocol selected was either transmission control protocol (TCP) or user datagram protocol (UDP), depending on the data type. Packet parsing, validation, and coordinate conversion were conducted using Python, and the processed states were applied to the virtual drone in Unity for continuous updates. A testbed was developed, and outdoor flight experiments were conducted to evaluate synchronization stability and confirm the feasibility of visual and numerical monitoring using the proposed digital twin of the R2V drone.
