‘소통’을 생각해보다: Q-방법론을 활용하여

In today's society, where miscommunication is felt more than communication, this study started from the question of how we think about 'communication'. Accordingly, we used 'Q methodology', a qualitative research and analyzed 33 Q-samples and 17 P-samples. The results are as follows. First, the perception of communication was defined into three types. That is, <Type I> primarily emphasizes 'Communication presupposes empathy' and was named 「Empathy Type」. <Type II> emphasizes 'Communication is the foundation of companionship', and was named 「Companionship Type」, and <Type III> emphasizes 'Communication is the key to solving problems', and was named 「Problem-solving Type」. Second, the Q-sample commonly emphasized in the three types of communication was ‘Communication is the way to be together’, ‘Communication is the foundation of companionship’, and ‘Communication is the key to problem solving’. In other words, we can see through the common opinion that various problems that occur in our daily lives must be solved through ‘communication’. Therefore, in today's society that emphasizes sustainability, 'communication' is a problem-solving process based on empathy and companionship, and efforts are needed to establish communication in this process.
