특화거리의 가로경관디자인 비교분석 - 6개 광역시 중심으로 -

초록

Background This study aims to solve the problem of 'specialized streets' being created by many local governments failing as government-led projects by comparing and analyzing the streetscape designs of specialized streets in the six major metropolitan cities of South Korea, diagnosing problems and proposing improvement measures. Methods The research method is as follows. First, we will review prior research to identify streetscape design elements and develop survey measurement items based on these findings. We will then conduct a survey to quantitatively identify shortcomings in each city. Second, we will conduct expert interviews to suggest areas for improvement for each city. After gathering expert feedback, we will formalize the interview content to identify keywords for improvement. Result Gwangju Metropolitan City was found to have the weakest urban association. Daegu Metropolitan City was found to have the weakest landscape and historic significance, while Daejeon, Busan, Ulsan, and Incheon Metropolitan City's specialized streets all had the weakest "vegetation and greenery" category. Using these results, we plan to interview experts to identify improvement suggestions. While the experts' opinions varied, we found that some metropolitan cities share similar areas of improvement. This is likely due to the presence of highlighted issues and shared views on how to improve them. Conclusion The six metropolitan cities should pursue improvements to their streetscapes that are tailored to the characteristics of each city, with Gwangju focusing on 'strengthening branding,' Daegu and Incheon on 'emphasizing pedestrian and historical features,' Daejeon on 'improving ecology and color,' Busan on 'focusing on theme streets,' and Ulsan on 'organizing symbolic spaces.'
