An Extended OLSR for Reliable Transmission in Flying Ad Hoc Networks

초록

Flying Ad Hoc Network(FANET) is a network for building a free communication network between aircraft without fixed infrastructure, and is an extension of the existing MANET. Currently, FANET does not have a standardized routing protocol and utilizes the existing Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET) protocol, but the transmission reliability decreases rapidly due to the fast moving speed and low density. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new FANET routing protocol that combines the existing MANET protocol, OLSR, and GPS. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed technique outperforms the existing routing techniques in terms of throughput and packet delivery ratio.
