Analysis of the Impact of Key Factors in Smart Factory Implementation Support Programs on Implementation Satisfaction and Utilization

Since 2014, over 30,000 smart factories have been established in South Korea, with significant contributions from government support programs. Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) continue to require ongoing government assistance for manufacturing innovation. This study examines the impact of key factors in the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' smart factory implementation support programs on SMEs' satisfaction with smart factory establishment and system utilization. Using data from the "Gyeongnam Smart Factory Implementation Support Program Performance Analysis Survey" conducted by the Korea Productivity Center in 2021, correlation analysis, cross-tabulation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed. The study identified the interrelationships among key variables in the smart factory implementation support programs and the main factors influencing satisfaction and utilization. Based on the findings, policy recommendations were made, including enhancing the expertise of suppliers, strengthening post-management systems, ensuring the appropriateness of support content, and expanding consulting support.
