외국인 유학생의 구직 준비 배경 및 구직 준비 역량 분석 연구

초록

The purpose of this study is to analyze the job-seeking background and job-preparedness competencies of international students as a preliminary stage for stable settlement in the Korean labor market. A survey was conducted with 106 international students at P University in Busan who hoped to work in Korea after graduation. The findings showed that the main reasons for seeking employment in Korea were career development and the living environment in Korea. The respondents identified insufficient Korean comprehension and communication as the greatest difficulty in job preparation, and they showed the highest demand for Korean language enhancement programs. The analysis of job-preparedness competencies revealed that self-understanding and job-planning competency (M=3.61) was the highest, whereas job-skill competency (M=3.19) was the lowest. Significant differences were found according to gender and Korean proficiency level, and the strongest positive correlation appeared between job-information exploration competency and job-skill competency (r=.823, p<.001).
