초록
Forest recreation areas function as recovery spaces for urban dwellers these days. This study analyzed the relationship between the recovery environment experience of visitors’ forest recreation activities and their happiness level based on the perspective of attentive restoration theory. For this purpose, this study conducted a questionnaire survey with the selection of sample size and the quota sampling. The results of exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis showed that being away, fascination, legibility, and coherence factors related to the recovery environment experience of forest recreation activities were valid and significant, except the compatibility factor. The results of structural equation modeling showed that the being away, fascination, legibility, and coherence factors positively affected the happiness level of visitors, and the being away factor had the greatest influence on the visitors’ happiness level. Recreation and tourism planners related to forest areas can consider these functional recovery environment experience elements as important planning and management factors in order to improve the visitors’ happiness level or the quality of life and to develop differentiated images from daily life of forest recreation regions.
