Optimal location selection for public bicycle stations in Changwon special city

초록

Public bicycle-sharing systems have emerged as a vital component of modern urban transportation, offering eco-friendly and sustainable solutions to address traffic congestion, air pollution, and transportation costs. One critical consideration for maximizing the economic efficiency and utility of these systems is the strategic selection of bicycle station locations based on factors such as usage patterns and potential demand. This study explores the factors influencing public bicycle usage by analyzing operational data from Nubija, the public bicycle-sharing system in Changwon Special City, along with geographic information system data such as population and the distribution of buildings. Based on predictive modeling, we propose optimal locations for Nubija stations. The findings of this research are expected to contribute to the development of public bicycle-sharing systems that are not only accessible and efficient but also economically and socially inclusive.
