초록
배추 검은썩음병의 원인균인 Xanthomonas campestris pv. vesicatoria의 방제에는 항생제계통 약제가 사용되고 있으나 , 최근 저항성 균주 발생의 우려로 대체 약제에 대한 연구의 필요성이 증대되고 있다 . 본 연구에서는 15 종의 천연물질을 대상으로 X. campestris에 대한 항세균활성을 평가하여 , geraniol (MIC = 250 μg mL-1), thymol (MIC = 125 μg mL-1), o-vanillin (MIC = 250 μg mL-1)에서 항균성을 확인하였다 . 이들 성분은 문헌조사와 시료분석결과 팔마로사 , 타임 , 국화과 식물인 Helichrysum oligocephalum의 식물정유의 주성분으로 알려져 있으며 , 이들 물질이 갖는 X. campestris에 대한 항균성 synergistic effect를 분할저해농도지수 (fractional inhibitory concentration index, FIC index)를 산출하여 측정하였다 . Thymol과 geraniol, 혹은 thymol과 o-vanillin 조합에서 FIC index값이0.75로 additive effect가 확인되었으나 , geraniol과 o-vanillin 조합에서 약효상승효과가 관찰되지 않았기에 o-vanillin 이 포함된 제제에 geraniol을 첨가하는 것은 약효상승효과 발현에는 큰 도움이 되지 않음을 확인할 수 있었다 .
