초록

This study examined parents’ perceptions to gauge the feasibility and design implications of an extended reality(XR)–based aerospace science program for young learners. A nationwide online survey gathered responses from 752 parents of children in early childhood and lower elementary grades. The questionnaire covered perceptions of XR and its educational use, attitudes toward aerospace science education, and preferences regarding program goals, content, and delivery. Parents reported broadly positive evaluations of XR and strong interest in aerospace learning. They valued XR’s immersive environments, vicarious experiences beyond time and space, and ability to spark interest in advanced science and technology. Reported constraints concerned developmental appropriateness, potential overuse or health effects, and implementation burden. Preferred content emphasized developmentally accessible topics—Earth and space, the solar system and planets, and space travel/exploration. For delivery, parents favored extracurricular formats in early childhood and integration into regular or after-school classes in lower elementary. Findings indicate high receptivity alongside needs for safety guidance and practical supports.
