초록

In this study, the genus Hippotiscus Bergroth, 1906, and its constituent species Hippotiscus dorsalis (Stål, 1864) (Hemiptera: Pentatomidae) were reported for the first time in Korea. Specimens were collected from bamboo (Phyllostachys sp.) in Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. H. dorsalis is readily distinguished by its oblong oval body, laminate lateral margins on the head, and distinct yellowish longitudinal markings on the head and pronotum. Herein, we provide a morphological re-description of the species, including detailed illustrations of both the male and female genitalia. Additionally, mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I DNA barcode sequences for the Korean specimens have been provided and deposited in GenBank under the accession numbers PX788675-PX788676.
