초록
An experiment was conducted in a plastic greenhouse to investigate the effects of gibberellic acid (GA3) on dormancy and bolting in four native Korean Orostachys species: O. japonica (Wasong), O. japonica from Yeongdong (Yeongdongbawisol), O. ramosa (Gajibawisol), and O. iwarenge from Jejudo (Jejuyeonhwabawisol). In Wasong and Yeongdongbawisol, dormancy initiation and subsequent dormancy breaking were observed in all treatment groups, including the control. GA3 spray treatments at concentrations of 50–200 mgL promoted dormancy breaking in more than two plants. However, neither bolting nor floral stalk elongation was observed even 80 days after the start of the experiment, indicating that GA3 had no flower-promoting effect in these species. In Gajibawisol and Jejuyeonhwabawisol, no dormancy phenomenon was observed, and the initiation of bolting and floral stalk elongation occurred. GA3 treatment was effective in shortening the period from bolting initiation to completion and in promoting floral stalk elongation in these two species. However, blooming of individual florets was not observed by the end of the experimental period.
