초록

This study aims to explore the complex nature of multiculturalism and multicultural conflicts within the evolving sociocultural context of Korean society. It seeks to develop strategies and methodologies that promote mutual respect among diverse cultural groups and contribute to collective prosperity. Multicultural society is defined as a social structure where individuals of various nationalities, races, and cultures coexist, emphasizing cultural diversity and equality. The study particularly focuses on methods for connecting different foreign cultures within a single community space and minimizing cultural conflict and confusion. It also investigates the formation of collective intelligence that supports social advancement through effective intercultural communication. Chapter 2 provides a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics and types of multicultural conflicts in Korea, identifying current limitations and potential improvements in conflict understanding, investigation, and management. Chapter 3 outlines key theories of intercultural communication and argues for a model adapted to Korea’s unique context. As an alternative, the study proposes the “Bibimbap Theory,” inspired by the harmony of mixed ingredients in the traditional Korean dish. Chapter 4 explores methodologies for cultural communication and the development of collective intelligence to foster coexistence and prosperity. Ultimately, the study aspires to resolve contradictions in multicultural society and offer a vision of inclusive hope and improved quality of life.
