초록
This study aims to analyze the structure of academic discourse on humanitarian stay permit holders in South Korea by examining key topics such as their social position, policy exclusion, and access to welfare. Through this analysis, the study seeks to empirically identify temporal trends, structural biases, and discursive gaps, thereby reconstructing the scholarly agenda on humanitarian stay from a social welfare perspective. Furthermore, the study aims to provide a foundational basis for practical discussions on institutional reform and social integration. To this end, a total of 145 academic studies were collected and analyzed using text mining techniques, including multi-layered topic modeling and time-series trend analysis. The results reveal six major themes in the academic discourse on humanitarian stay: “emergence,” “legal support,” “social welfare services,” “birth and education of children,” “labor and self-reliance,” and “housing and settlement environment.” The time-series analysis confirmed dynamic interactions across these thematic categories. This study is significant in that it empirically highlights the scholarly efforts to understand the life conditions of humanitarian stay permit holders and promote equity in their lived experiences.
