Microsatellite (MS) markers를 활용한 재래흑염소와 외래교잡염소 간유전적 구조 및 혼합 양상 분석

Due to the lack of genetic studies on Korean native black goats, such as phylogenetic relationships, origin analyses, and evaluations of genetic structure and admixture with exotic crossbred goats, this study was conducted to analyze the genetic structure and admixture patterns between Korean native black goats and exotic crossbred goats. Using 11 microsatellite (MS) markers, we analyzed the genotypes of 261 Korean native black goats and 94 exotic crossbred goats. Basic statistical indices and genetic structure analyses were conducted based on these data. The Korean native black goats were observed heterozygosity and polymorphism information content (PIC) values for the markers ranged from 0.388 to 0.772 and from 0.362 to 0.754, respectively. For the exotic crossbred goats, the observed heterozygosity and PIC values ranged from 0.553 to 0.840 and from 0.664 to 0.915, respectively, indicating sufficient genetic diversity for analysis. A comparison of the major allele frequencies between the native and crossbred goats revealed distinct differences in the distribution of allele frequencies across markers, indicating genetic structural differences both between the two groups and among lineages within the native black goat population. STRUCTURE analysis identified K = 2 as the optimal number of clusters, suggesting that there is no significant genetic admixture between the native black goats and exotic crossbred goats. These findings provide scientific evidence supporting the genetic uniqueness of Korean native black goats and can serve as foundational data for lineage differentiation within the native population.
