‘교원용 학교 공간의 교육효과 척도’ 개발 및 타당화

초록

In the study, the aim was to develop and validate the "Teachers' Perception Scale of Educational Effects of School Space" to measure the educational effects recognized by elementary and secondary school teachers following the improvement of school spaces. First, based on data collected through literature review and interviews with in-service teachers, experts in education and school space developed a preliminary version of the scale. A pilot study was then conducted on 442 elementary and secondary school teachers. Item analysis and exploratory factor analysis were performed on the results of the pilot study. After revising and supplementing the items, a main survey was administered to 590 elementary and secondary school teachers to select the final items. The final scale consists of 55 items across five domains: 14 items for the School Space Perception domain, 14 items for the School Space Specialization domain, 10 items for the School Space Utilization Experience domain, 8 items for the School Education Experience domain, and 9 items for the Educational Outcomes domain. A confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was conducted to confirm the overall factorial validity, yielding results of χ2=3,022.716(df=1,401), CFI=.920, TLI=.915, and RMSEA=.051, thus confirming the validity. The reliability analysis showed that the Cronbach’s alpha for the entire scale was .967, and the Cronbach’s alpha values for the five domains were high, at .913, .883, .954, .905, and 905, respectively. The final scale was confirmed after verifying its psychometric reliability and validity. The Teachers' Perception Scale of Educational Effects of School Space was confirmed to be a reliable and valid measurement tool capable of investigating the educational effects recognized by teachers based on their perception of school space and experience utilizing it.
