초록
Soybeans [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] are the most widely cultivated major legume crop for human and livestock protein needs. But, its raw mature seeds contain a few antinutritional factors. The soybean cultivar ‘Baekse’ has large yellow seeds and a low stachyose content, and is free of lectin, Kunitz trypsin inhibitor (KTI), lipoxygenase, and 7S α’-subunit proteins. ‘Baese’ was selected from the population derived from a cross between F-1-9 and F-1-6 breeding lines. It has purple flowers, determinate growth habit, tawny pubescence, and pale brown pods at maturity. The seed of ‘Baekse’ cultivar has a yellow seed coat color and a yellow hilum. The dry weight seed protein and oil content were 41.1 and 15.8%, respectively. The stachyose content was 2.9 g/kg, which was much lower than 12.7 g/kg of the check cultivar, ‘Daewon’. ‘Baekse’ has shown resistance to soybean mosaic virus, soybean necrosis, black root rot, pod and stem blight, and bacterial pustule. ‘Baekse’ matured on 16 October with a plant height of 53 cm and a 100-seed weight of 31.0 g. The average yield of the cultivar was 2.95 (ton/ha), based on regional yield trials in 2020 at three locations. ‘Baekse’ has been registered as a soybean cultivar (registration number: 9515, registration date: April 06, 2023) by the Korea Seed & Variety Service, Republic of Korea
