중등영어교사의 전문성 개발 현황 및 인식 연구
A Study on Secondary English Teachers’ Practices and Perceptions of Professional Development

초록

This survey study examined what types of activities secondary English teachers practiced to pursue their professional development and what their perceptions were on these activities. In the study, seventy five secondary English teachers in the Gyeongnam province participated. The teachers tried to improve their teaching practices by participating in teacher training programs, conducting individual research, and holding collegial conferences. While the teachers participated in teacher training programs most frequently, they were also actively engaged in individual research and collegial conferences. Through these activities, the teachers enhanced their teaching skills and English proficiency as well as built more confidence in their professional competency. The detailed findings and suggestions were discussed.
