초록
This descriptive study utilized Korea Health Panel data (2021-2022) to examine the moderating effect of walking on the relationship between subjective health status and quality of life among dementia caregivers (n=117). Quality of life was measured using EQ-5D-3L (scores×100), and Hayes' Process macro Model 1 was employed for moderation analysis. Participants (mean age 73.1±10.8 years, 70.1% female) had mean subjective health status of 2.8±0.8, walked 4.4±2.7 days/week, and reported quality of life score of 88.1±9.0. Both subjective health status (β=3.39, p=.002) and walking frequency (β=0.75, p=.008) significantly predicted quality of life. The moderating effect of walking was significant (β=-1.10, p<.001), increasing model explanatory power by 5.7%. Conditional effect analysis revealed that subjective health status most strongly impacted quality of life among non-walkers (β=8.40), but became non-significant for those walking >5.7 days/week. These findings demonstrate walking as a protective moderator for caregivers with poor subjective health, providing evidence for targeted walking interventions in high-risk groups identified through walking frequency assessment.
