초록

This research intends to explore the ecological principle in Woncheon’gang Bonpuri by extracting the characteristics of the space from the journey of Oneuli, its main character. Oneuli is a god who is in charge of the time, but her narrative of activities consists more of the space than of the time. On the cosmic level, the universe is divided into Woncheon’gang, the exemplary world of the sacredness, and Inse(the human world), which is the world of imitation. With Woncheon’gang as a turning point, Inse again makes a transition from a closed space to an open space. If Woncheon’gang, which is an exemplary world of sacredness, is a world created by the command of a higher god to a lower god under the vertical order, Inse shows a distinct difference from Woncheon’gang in that various entities of Inse, including Oneuli, collaborated to replicate in Inse the sacred example from Woncheon’gang under the horizontal order. The common element which is noteworthy in Oneuli’s narrative of activities is that her autonomous intent stands out. Through interactions with various entities she met on her journey, Oneuli elicited the principle of symbiotic ecology and not only achieved her own goal, but also helped other entities achieve their goals, too.
