광복 이후 한국 씨름의 전개양상: 김학웅의 구술생애사를 중심으로

초록

This study investigates the post-liberation development of Korean ssireum through the oral life history of Kim Hak-woong, a prominent wrestler from Daegu. Growing up in a wrestling family, Kim entered the sport naturally and trained under master Go Woo-joo. He rose to national prominence as an elite athlete and played a key role in institutionalizing school-based ssireum in Daegu. This research highlights Daegu’s emergence as a ssireum hub and fills a historiographical gap in the pre-folk ssireum era.
