범죄예방 건축기준의 문장 구조와 의미에 관한 질적 분석 -감시원리 관련 조항을 중심으로-

This study uses qualitative content analysis to examine the sentence structure and semantic functions of the Crime Prevention Building Standards, focusing on surveillance-related provisions. The analysis covers 28 clauses from Articles 4 to 10, which were segmented into 36 units of analysis. Open coding was conducted to identify six semantic functions: target, purpose, element, method, condition, and predicate. The results show that target expressions mix physical spaces, situational contexts, and risk states at the same level; purpose expressions use inconsistent forms to convey similar meanings; element expressions blur the boundary between targets and elements; and method expressions combine qualitative and quantitative criteria without a clear hierarchy. Conditional expressions do not clearly distinguish between exceptions, scope limitations, and prerequisites, while predicate forms mix mandatory, recommendatory, and referential expressions, weakening normative consistency. Sentence-type analysis shows that purpose+element and element+method structures appear most frequently, whereas more complete structures combining target, purpose, element, and method are relatively limited. Based on these findings, this study proposes directions for improvement, including standardization of expressions, clarification of key concepts, refinement of method and condition expressions, unification of predicate forms, and function-based standardization of sentence structures. This study contributes by providing a structural and linguistic foundation for transforming current standards into interpretable and digitally applicable rule-based formats.
