High-temperature waste heat causes complex problems, such as energy loss and environmental pollution. This study aimed to design a lamella recuperator as a waste heat recovery device to recycle energy and reduce heat load. The number of channels and mass flow rates were varied, with heat exchanger efficiency and pressure drop as key performance indicators. The results show that increasing air flow reduces heat exchange efficiency but increases the pressure drop between the air inlet and outlet while decreasing it for the gas inlet and outlet. Conversely, increasing gas flow improves efficiency and raises the pressure drop for both air and gas inlets and outlets. Therefore, the design of the lamella recuperator should consider efficiency and pressure drop variations resulting from changes in mass flow rates and channel number.
