The history of consumer law in Korea is also evaluated as the history of the Framework act on consumers. In previous studies, the history of the Framework act on consumers is largely divided into three stages. The first stage is the stage of enactment of consumer laws (formation), and the second stage is the stage of reforming the legal and organizational system (growth). The third stage is the stage (stabilization) of the Framework act on consumers in which consumer laws were amended in 2006. The historical stages that the Framework act on consumers has taken can also be compared with the series of stages in which consumer policy was formed, grew, and developed. This shows that consumer laws and consumer policy are advancing together in the same stage. However, the remarkable development of science and technology called the 4th industrial revolution and the society that has changed rapidly during the Corona era are rather forcing new growth in the field of consumer laws and consumer policy. These developments and changes are creating a variety of information in previously unexpected forms and methods, which are constantly flowing into the market. The deepening of the digital divide has become a matter of course. In addition, due to the emergence of various industries, including the data industry, the scope of consumer laws are inevitably expanding. It is one of the tasks of the Consumer Law Association to check how appropriately our consumer laws system is responding in this era of forcing the growth and development of consumer laws and consumer policy once again. In order to fulfill these tasks, this paper examines the amendments to Act on door-to-door sales, Act on fair labeling and advertising, Unfair competition prevention and trade secret protection act, Food Law and evaluates their direction. Excluding notable changes in the area of food law, legislative achievements in the area of consumer laws in 2022 are very lacking.
