마르크스의 원시 축적론의 재해석과 21세기 자본주의 비판
초록
Recent studies understand Marx's theory of the primitive accumulation of capital as a theory of the formation and reproduction of the logical premises of the capitalist mode of production, with the separation of the means of production from the direct producers at its core. They see the primitive accumulation of capital as the global process with state violence as an essential element, rather than a national economic process during the transition from pre-capitalism to capitalism. Furthermore, they have made new and important contributions by applying Marx's theory of the primitive accumulation of capital to the critical analysis of various contradictory aspects of capitalism in the 21st century, such as neoliberalism's accumulation by dispossession, global land grabbing, ‘techno-feudalism', ‘New enclosures', ecological crisis, etc., and to the search for post-capitalist alternatives. This paper reviews recent studies on the theoretical significance of Marx's theory of the primitive accumulation of capital by examining the issues related to the translation of Marx’s term, ‘ursprüngliche accumulation’ and the changes introduced by Marx in the editing of the section and chapters on the primitive accumulation of capital, and then examines new interpretations of the status of the primitive accumulation of capital in capitalism. It also outlines the main applications of Marx's theory of the primitive accumulation to the analysis of capitalism in the 21st century and the search for the alternatives, and, finally, draws some implications for future research on Korean capitalism.
