독일사 연구의 진화와 그림자 – 2023~2024년 연구 현황과 흐름 -

초록

German history research continued to achieve steady results from 2023 to 2024 because of an evolutionary process that seeks to continuously expand research areas and methods. On the one hand, researchers expanded existing research on German history and solidified its foundation. They broadened the scope of research by hybridizing new theories and methodologies while using traditional themes, or by increasing the axis of time and space of the subject within unique keywords. Studies on the German Empire, Weimar, Nazism, war, European integration, unification, migration, far-rightism, the ‘68 movement, gender, education, Korean–German relations, and comparison became more diverse. On the other hand, German history researchers continue to explore new and challenging areas of research. These include studies on the environment and ecology, memory and public history, and digital history. Despite difficulties, research on German history has continued to evolve while maintaining vitality. Nevertheless, the trend of German history research is experiencing a crisis and is deeply contemplating this.
