This study explores the cultural diversity and theoretical universality of entrepreneurship in non-Western contexts by comparing adult respondents from Korea and Nepal, two countries with distinct economic and cultural backgrounds. Using the Korea Entrepreneurship Index (KEI)-which focuses on psychological and cultural dimensions across five factors: values, competencies, aspirations, environmental perception, and entrepreneurial attitudes-the study conducted a cross-national survey and statistical comparison. Results show that Nepali respondents scored significantly higher in most internal dimensions, including humanistic values, social responsibility, creativity, achievement motivation, and entrepreneurial intention, whereas Korean respondents displayed higher fear of failure and avoidance tendencies. These findings highlight that entrepreneurship cannot be explained solely by institutional or economic factors but is deeply influenced by cultural and socio-psychological contexts. The study calls for policies and education programs that enhance psychological resilience, autonomy, and community-oriented values, emphasizing a multidimensional understanding of entrepreneurship. Moreover, by demonstrating the validity of the KEI, it provides a foundation for future research on entrepreneurship within diverse cultural settings.
