초록
This study explored early childhood teachers’ perceptions and needs for developing an XR-based aerospace science education program for young children. Findings indicated high interest and perceived necessity for both XR applications and aerospace science education, despite limited hands-on experience. Teachers emphasized XR’s potential to enhance motivation through immersive environments, overcome spatiotemporal constraints, and foster inquiry-based learning. Desired program goals included promoting scientific curiosity, developing creativity and problem-solving skills, and enhancing social competence. Priority content areas were earth and space, the moon and stars, and space travel and exploration. Teachers preferred targeting 5-year-olds, implementing sessions once or twice a week for 20–30 minutes in small groups, with evaluation through observation and documentation. These results provide initial insights for program design.
