Effects of Medical Students' Psychological Well-being, Stress, and Burnout on Interpersonal relationships

초록

This study was a descriptive research study to determine the impact of psychological well-being, stress, and burnout on interpersonal relationships among medical students. In this study, medical school students from Region J in Province G were randomly selected as the approximate population, and a total of 297 copies were finally analyzed. Descriptive statistics were analyzed using t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS/25. Interpersonal relationships were positively correlated with psychological well-being (r=.46, p<.001) and negatively correlated with burnout (r=-.27, p<.001). Variables affecting interpersonal relationships were analyzed using hierarchical multiple regression. As a result, the order of variables that had a significant impact on interpersonal relationships was psychological well-being, ‘very satisfied’ and ‘satisfied’ for life satisfaction, and ‘other fields’ for desired career paths. The total explanatory power was 27.9%. In the case of second-year students, psychological well-being is lowest and stress and burnout are highest, so it is necessary to find ways to reform the curriculum and conduct extracurricular activity programs to increase well-being and reduce stress and burnout.
