외지귀환자 2세 고바야시 마사루(小林勝)의전기 문학 연구

초록

This study examines the process of Kobayashi Masaru’s (小林勝) early literature, which is considered the beginning of the lineage that pursued Japan’s “imperial responsibility,” as he developed a self-critical perspective after being imprisoned for the “Molotov Cocktail Incident” and grew as a writer. The works under study are from the period of “A Story of a Korean” (1952.10), which was based on the shock he experienced in prison, to “Ten Years” (1955.11), an essay reflecting on the ten years after the war. The characteristics of the early literature are as follows. First, the changes in his ideology after the war, experienced by a member of the restoration army and a man born and raised in a foreign land. He encounters a new world as he reads speeches by long-term prisoners of conscience during the war and the writings of various writers. The experience of being imprisoned while working as a communist gave me an opportunity to encounter the other world of prison. Second, I was able to catch a glimpse of the lives of various people who were not included in the ‘public memory’ through literature. In particular, the lives of young communist party members, Korean party members in Japan, manual laborers and high school students, and the troubled and wavering youth were depicted.
