청년 정착 정책 인지도가 정주 여건 만족도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 -강원지역을 중심으로-

This study tests whether awareness of youth settlement support policies is associated with residential satisfaction among young adults in Gangwon Province, Korea. Using a 2023 survey (n = 1,884), we conducted descriptive analyses, independent-samples t-tests (reporting mean differences and Cohen's d), and multiple regression with controls for gender, age, education, employment status, income, and municipality. Only about 40% of respondents knew about the policies, indicating limited information reach. Job and entrepreneurship conditions showed the lowest satisfaction. The high-awareness group reported significantly higher overall residential satisfaction than the low-awareness group, with the largest gaps in job- and start-up–related items. These findings highlight that improving policy awareness, alongside better program design, is essential for effectiveness and offer implications for youth well-being and balanced regional development.
