지식 해사 클러스터 입지 결정요인 실증 연구

초록

The gap between metropolitan areas and regional areas has led to disparities in industrial clusters. This can be confirmed by comparing maritime clusters based in Seoul metropolitan area with those in regional areas. In this study, GLS analysis and panel regression modeling were applied to analyze determinants of the location of knowledge-based maritime clusters. Results indicated that the number of resident crew members, the regional development index, and the regional creative potential index were statistically significant. Notably, the regional creative potential index was identified as a control variable and a key factor for establishing knowledge-based maritime clusters. Additionally, it was found that the regional development index operated in the opposite direction to the establishment of knowledge-based maritime clusters. This suggests that rather than the level of regional development, which is represented by living conditions, it is more crucial to create a business environment and conditions that can attract a young population for the establishment of knowledge-based maritime clusters.
