초록
This study aimed to examine the effect of self-esteem on multicultural acceptance among pre-service secondary school teachers and to verify the double mediating effects of life satisfaction and sense of community in this relationship. A total of 300 pre-service teachers from a college of education in Gyeongnam province participated in the survey. Data were analyzed using SPSS and PROCESS Macro. The results showed that self-esteem positively influenced multicultural acceptance, and life satisfaction and sense of community sequentially mediated this relationship. These findings suggest that the internal psychological resources of pre-service teachers may contribute to the development of multicultural acceptance, and indicate that strengthening the emotional foundation of pre-service teachers can serve as a critical starting point for fostering culturally sensitive and inclusive educational practices.
