국내 경남 하동 지역 축사에 발생하는 침집파리(Stomoxys calcitrans) 성충의트랩 색깔에 따른 유인효과와 발생소장

초록

The stable fly, Stomoxys calcitrans, is a sanitary pest that causes direct stress to livestock through blood-feeding and transmits lumpy skin disease virus, posing concerns both domestically and internationally. Accordingly, to establish effective control strategies for stable flies in Korea, the attractiveness of sticky traps of three different colors (blue, white, and red) and the seasonal occurrence of stable flies were investigated at a livestock farm in Hadong, Gyeongsangnam-do, from August 2023 to December 2025. Among the three colors, blue sticky traps were most attractive to stable flies, followed by white and red. In 2023, adult stable flies exhibited high abundance in August, with the peak occurrence observed in October. In contrast, in both 2024 and 2025, adult emergence began in June, and the peak occurrence was recorded in August 2024 and October 2025, respectively. In 2024, when the peak occurrence was observed in August, temperatures increased continuously from January, resulting in a higher mean temperature in August compared to 2023 and 2025. In contrast, although the mean temperature in October—when the peak occurrence occurred in 2023 and 2025—was similar to that in 2024, mean temperatures during August and September preceding the peak occurrence were lower than those in 2024. Comparison of precipitation and peak occurrence showed that in 2024, precipitation in February preceding the peak was higher than in 2023 and 2025, whereas in 2023 and 2025, precipitation during July–August preceding the peak was higher than in 2024. Accordingly, temperature and precipitation were identified as major factors influencing the peak occurrence of stable flies. These results indicate that blue sticky traps can be used for environmentally friendly control of stable flies and for monitoring seasonal occurrence, and that analysis of climatic factors will enable systematic understanding of seasonal occurrence and peak occurrence in Korea.
