Today, news related to lunar development issues are gradually increasing worldwide. However, in Korea, most research to date has focusedon the launch vehicle technology required for reaching the Moon, while progress in the construction field remains very limited. This islargely due to the lack of a clear rationale or a practical methodology for addressing current lunar development issues, especially inarchitectural design. To help bridge this gap, this study explores three key research questions (Q1-Q3) about the potential connection betweenarchitectural design and lunar base construction. A qualitative analysis based on domestic preliminary research and overseas case studies wasconducted to examine these questions and identify the differences between the Moon’s physical environment and that of Earth. By integratingthese differences into a five-phase architectural design process, the study aims to enhance the feasibility of linking lunar base constructionwith architectural design and to propose new strategies for future lunar development.
