척도 검사 설계를 적용한 수직척도화

초록

This study applied a scaling test design approach to vertical scaling in longitudinal research, instead of the commonly used common-item design. For this purpose, vertical scales were developed for Korean, mathematics, and English in the elementary and middle school panels using data from the Seoul Student Longitudinal Study 2020. Data were collected based on the scaling test design, and item and examinee ability parameters were estimated using a concurrent calibration method. It was calculated with the ability score corresponding to the raw score and then linearly transformed into a scale score. The analysis confirmed a growth pattern in both panels, with competencies increasing as students advanced in grade levels. The developed vertical scale serves as a reliable tool for comparing and analyzing the academic competencies of elementary and middle school students in Seoul. It can be used as a foundational resource for monitoring individual student achievement and evaluating the effects of educational policies.
